ADULTS
My goal is to help and guide you through your learning of the Spanish language with:
- Engaging activities, role-play and games
- A learning book (which includes a workbook)
- A communicative approach
- Personalized attention
- Private lessons or small groups (max. 6 students in person or max. 3 online)
At the moment I offer the following 6 levels for adults
Beginner Levels
Level 1 (A1.1)
No previous knowledge of Spanish is required. At the end of this course, you are able to introduce yourself in Spanish and ask/give personal information. You can talk about your weekend plans, the weather and the different seasons. You can also describe places and talk about locations. You have some vocabulary of clothes and can ask simple questions at a shop and make a purchase. You can express your preferences and understand and ask simple questions. You know the colors and numbers 1-100.
Level 2 (A1.2)
You must have taken Level 1 or equivalent to enroll in this course. At the end of this course, you are able to talk about family members and describe their physical aspects and characters. You can talk about routines and habits as well as frequency of doing things. You can also ask and give the time and are able to order food and drinks at a restaurant or bar. You can give and ask information about food and talk about gastronomical habits. You can describe towns, cities and neighborhoods and talk about places you like. You can also give and ask information of location and talk about past experiences as well as about one’s own abilities and those of other’s.
Pre-intermediate Levels
Level 3 (A2.1)
You must have taken Level 2 or equivalent to enroll in this course. At the end of this course, you are able to talk about habits. You can describe feelings and make recommendations. You can talk about the start and duration of an activity as well as past events. You can identify and describe people physically and you can talk about relations and similarities between people. You are able to express preferences and to describe a house and make comparisons. You can describe objects and place them in space. You are also able to give excuses and ask and give permission. You can also ask for favors.
Level 4 (A2.2)
You must have taken Level 3 or equivalent to enroll in this course. At the end of this course, you are able to talk about your intentions and about past experiences. You can talk about food habits and are able to explain how to prepare a dish. You are also able to describe pain and symptoms, give advice and talk about your state of mind. You can now talk about habits in the past and place actions in the past and present. You can also debate, sequence actions and express emotions.
Intermediate Levels
Level 5 (B1.1)
You must have taken Level 4 or equivalent to enroll in this course. At the end of this course, you can give your opinion and advice. You can talk about habits in the present and also about past experiences. You are able to locate an action in time and talk about the start and duration of an activity. You can talk about future actions and situations and express if-then statements. You are able to formulate an expectation about the future. You can tell a story in present tense, summarize a book or a movie and understand jokes.
Level 6 (B1.2)
You must have taken Level 5 or equivalent to enroll in this course. At the end of this course, you are able to express wishes, needs and complaints. You are able to propose solutions to a problem. You can also write a letter explaining a problem. You can have a telephone or video call, you are able to take or leave a message by phone. You are able to convey messages, instructions and suggestions. You can tell jokes and talk about causes and consequences.
